Stanley Burroughs brought Vitaflex to the US almost a century ago. His work, Healing in the Age of Enlightenment is a must-read if you are interested in learning more. This natural modality for self-healing is similar to acupressure or acupuncture, but it predates acupuncture, originating in Nepal. No needles needed, only the pressure of your fingertips and a roll of the hand on control points of the body.
It is important that the fingernails are filed down till there is no white left. The reason for this is because our skin is piezoelectric – the slightest touch begins an electrical current – however, the nail is an insulator and will break that flow of electricity. The flow is what you want. Directed, focused electricity that you will create, will flow through blocks, restoring balance. You begin the pressure with the pad of your finger(s), creating the flow, then begin to roll up onto the tip of the finger, and the let the finger complete the roll onto the nail, stopping the flow. Usually it is done three times in one targeted spot. It can also be done in something of a march across a part of the body.
Where you do Vitaflex is determined by what organ or organ system you would like to target. You name it, and you can support it with Vitaflex! There are very helpful charts of the hands and feet that are a good starting point, because they are miniature models of the body from head to toe.
