Enzymes Part 4: What does cellulase deficiency look like?

ibsFiber is something that all bodies need and should get from a balanced diet. Raw foods have this enzyme as well as the other enzymes our body needs. Unlike the other three main enzyme groups that digest proteins, fat, and carbohydrates, our body can produce no cellulase. Nada. Zilch. Zero.

So, we can’t make it and it is only in raw foods. How are we supposed to digest fiber if we haven’t eaten raw today or enough raw today? Therein lies the difficulty that leads to bloating, gas, and pain in the abdomen. That is easy to understand, but it is what lies beneath that can make life more difficult. Cellulase also aids in the absorption of nutrients, vitamins, and mineral in the small intestine, which is critical to maintain good health and digestion.

The key is to keep your levels of enzymes optimal. Maintain that great digestion and feel good all the time. Here’s a fun video about Essentialzyme 4 and what it did to an experiment of oatmeal!

There is so much to learn about having great health, but I try to make it easy. I would love to walk with you as you learn. Contact me and we can get you started on reaching those health goals one by one.
